In 1927, Erdman Furniture was opened on Frankford Avenue in Philadelphia. Around 1960, the store moved to a larger space at the corner of Frankford Ave & Harrison St, where Aria Frankford Hospital now stands. Erdman Furniture serviced the Philadelphia area here for years, eventually moving to the Bensalem area. Steve and Rick Erdman, the current owners, joined the business in 1976 and saw the need to create a specialty store. The store was renamed Leather Expressions, moved to Montgomeryville, then to its current location in Colmar. In 2016 they formed a partnership with Ed’s TV and now offer customers a one stop shopping location for fine leather seating, AV equipment and entertainment furniture.
